So much literary goodness happening this week!
The PEN World Voices festival kicks off on Monday, April 29th, and the city is in for a full week of readings and events. On Friday, May 3rd, NYU will be hosting a mini-festival along the Washington Mews. I’ve been serving on the planning committee all year, and I’m really looking forward to seeing a year’s worth of hard work on behalf of the PEN organization and my colleagues at NYU pay off! The day-long NYU mini-festival is free and open to the public–stop by for workshops, readings, performances, and an indie book fair curated by CLMP!
On Saturday, May 4th, I’ll be representing Black Lawrence Press at the 5th Annual CUNY Chapbook Festival! The book fair is open from noon-5pm, and I’ll be speaking on a panel organized by Poets & Writers at 4pm: Nuts, Bolts, & Beyond, along with Nate Pritts (H_NGM_N), Myrna Goodman (Toadlily Press), and Guy Pettit (Flying Object/Factory Hollow Press). I’ll be talking about things like publishing chaps in multiple genres and how to prepare and submit your work for print. Can’t wait for a day full of chapbooks, chapbooks, chapbooks!
