Following several private messages yesterday calling my attention to allegations of abusive behavior and doxxing threats on the part of the Fantastic Flying Book Club toward a Black blogger and other members of the book community, I reached out to my publishing team yesterday to cancel the remainder of the I KILLED ZOE SPANOS tour, effective immediately. I believe the bloggers and other book community members speaking out about this and stand in support of them. Blogging is work, and it’s work I value immensely as an author. The thought of bloggers and bookstagrammers doing work on behalf of one of my books in an unsafe environment is intolerable. To any bloggers with tour stops scheduled for the remainder of the tour, you are under absolutely no obligation to proceed with your planned posts. If you had posts up already that you’d like to remove, I’ll fully support your decision to do so. If you’d like to post independently from the FFBC tour, the decision is entirely yours and I support it either way. I value you and the work you do and I will not be working with the FFBC in the future.
